What exactly is the Life Upgrade Protocol?
The Life Upgrade Protocol is a 12-week structured coaching experience that includes a personalized training program, nutrition guidance, weekly coaching check-ins, habit and lifestyle coaching, direct communication with your coach, progress tracking, and access to a professional coaching platform. Everything is built around your goals, your schedule, and where you are right now. It's not a template — it's a fully guided system designed to help you build discipline, consistency, and lasting change.
How is this different from a regular personal training program?
Most training programs hand you a workout plan and leave you to figure out the rest. TBG is different because you have direct, ongoing access to your coach throughout the entire protocol. But more importantly, this isn't just about training — it's about changing the way you approach your life. The protocol includes habit coaching, mindset work, nutrition guidance, and weekly accountability. The goal isn't just to get you in better shape. It's to help you become someone who doesn't need to be motivated to show up.
Do I need gym experience to start?
No. The protocol is built around you — your experience level, your goals, and your current ability. Whether you've been training for years or you've never stepped foot in a gym, your program is designed to meet you where you are and progress from there. That's the whole point of personalized coaching.
What if I've tried programs before and always quit?
That's exactly who this was built for. Most programs fail because they give you a plan but no accountability, no structure, and no one checking in on you. The Life Upgrade Protocol isn't something you do alone. You have a coach, a system, and a weekly rhythm that keeps you moving even when motivation drops. The goal isn't to be perfect. It's to be consistent — and to have someone in your corner making sure you don't fall off.
How much time does this take per week?
Your training will take roughly 2 to 5 sessions per week depending on your goals and schedule — most sessions run 45 minutes to an hour. On top of that, you'll spend a few minutes each day on habit tracking and a bit of time on your weekly check-in, which is due every Saturday. It's designed to fit into a real life, not take over it. Expect about a week for onboarding before your protocol officially begins.
What does a typical week in the protocol look like?
A typical week includes 2 to 5 training sessions logged in the app, daily habit tracking, and a weekly check-in submitted every Saturday. Your coach reviews the check-in and responds with detailed feedback, adjustments, and direction for the following week. Nutrition and training structure are adjusted in phases — roughly every 2 to 4 weeks — so the program evolves with you as you progress.
What happens after the 12 weeks?
After the initial 12-week protocol, you have the option to continue coaching on a month-to-month basis. Your training, check-ins, and communication with your coach stay active for as long as you'd like. There's no long-term contract after the initial commitment — you simply continue monthly until you choose to cancel.

Who is coaching me?
MJ — the founder of TBG. This is not a team of rotating coaches or an AI-generated plan. You're working directly with MJ from onboarding through your entire protocol and beyond. One coach. One relationship. Full accountability.
How do the weekly check-ins work?
Every Saturday, you'll complete a structured check-in form inside the coaching app. It covers your training, nutrition, habits, energy, mindset, and any questions or concerns you have. MJ reviews everything — including your progress photos and data — and sends back a detailed, personalized response with feedback, adjustments, and direction for the week ahead.
Can I message my coach anytime?
Yes. You have direct access to MJ through the coaching platform. Whether it's a question about your training, a nutrition concern, or something you're working through — you can send a message anytime. Responses typically come within 24 to 48 hours during normal business hours.
What platform do you use for coaching?
Everything runs through Everfit — a professional coaching app built for one-on-one client management. Your workouts, check-ins, messaging, progress tracking, and resources all live in one place. It's available on both iOS and Android, and you'll get a full walkthrough during onboarding so you're comfortable before day one.
Do I need a gym membership or specific equipment?
It depends on your situation. During your strategy call and onboarding, we'll discuss what you have access to — whether that's a full gym, a home setup, or minimal equipment — and your program is built accordingly. The training is designed to work with what you have, not force you into a setup that doesn't fit your life.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
This is assessed on a case-by-case basis during your strategy call. If you have an injury, limitation, or medical condition, we'll discuss it in detail before you start. In some cases, clearance from a medical professional may be recommended. Your training program is always designed around your body and your circumstances — never a one-size-fits-all approach.
Is this online or in-person coaching?
TBG is fully online. Everything — your training program, coaching check-ins, communication, and progress tracking — is delivered remotely through the coaching platform. This means you can work with MJ from anywhere, on your own schedule, without needing to be in a specific location.
What if I miss a workout or skip a check-in?
Life happens. If you miss a session or a check-in, it's not the end of the world — but your coach will follow up. Accountability is a core part of the protocol, and part of the reason you're here is to build consistency. The goal isn't perfection. It's showing up more often than you don't, and having someone who notices when you go quiet.
Is there a community element or is this fully one-on-one?
Right now, TBG is fully one-on-one coaching. Your experience is between you and your coach. That said, there are plans to build a community component in the future — but the foundation will always be personal, direct coaching.
Pricing & Logistics
How much does the TBG: Life Upgrade Protocol cost?
The protocol is $225 per month for 3 months, or $599 as a one-time payment if you pay in full. Both options include the complete 12-week experience — personalized training, nutrition guidance, weekly coaching check-ins, habit coaching, direct access to MJ, and full use of the coaching platform. Paying in full saves you $76.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. You can choose between $225 per month for 3 months or $599 paid in full. Both get you the same full protocol. The paid-in-full option simply saves you money and locks everything in upfront.
Is there a refund policy?
If you decide the protocol isn't for you within the first week, you can cancel and receive a refund. Beyond that first week, the 12-week protocol is a full commitment — which is intentional, because transformation doesn't happen without follow-through. After the initial 12 weeks, any cancellation is handled on a case-by-case basis.
What if I need to pause the program?
Pauses are handled on a case-by-case basis for legitimate circumstances like injury, travel, or major life disruptions. A pause can last up to 1 to 4 weeks, and during that time you won't have access to coaching deliverables. Monthly payments pause during this period and restart when you resume. If you paid in full, your 3-month access window remains unchanged regardless of any pause.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If a monthly payment doesn't go through, there's a grace period of 3 to 5 days to resolve it. After that, access to coaching deliverables and communication will be paused until payment is current. Life happens — just communicate with your coach and we'll work through it.
Can I switch from monthly to paid in full during the protocol?
This is handled on a case-by-case basis. If you started on the monthly plan and want to switch to paid in full, reach out to your coach and we'll see what makes sense based on where you are in the protocol.
How do I apply?
Click "Apply for the Protocol" anywhere on this site. You'll fill out a short intake form, and from there we'll schedule your strategy call.
What happens after I apply?
After you submit the intake form, you'll schedule a free strategy call with MJ. On that call, we'll talk through your goals, your current situation, and whether the protocol is the right fit. If we're aligned, you'll receive your payment invoice and agreement forms. Once those are completed, we'll hop on a short onboarding call — about 15 to 30 minutes — to go over your schedule, your training access and ability, equipment availability, and everything you need to hit the ground running on day one.
How will you know my schedule, routine, and what I can do physically?
That's what the onboarding call is for. After your forms are signed and payment is processed, we schedule a 15 to 30 minute call to talk through your daily routine, your schedule, your training experience and current ability, your access to equipment, and any other details that help build your personalized program. Your protocol doesn't start until we both have a clear picture of where you are.
